The Family Reunification Visa allows non-EU residents with a Spanish residence permit to bring their family members to live and work in Spain. If the person in Spain is an EU citizen, a different visa applies; see “Family Member of an EU Citizen.”

3) Requirements to Apply

  • Family member’s current residence permit: Must have resided in Spain at least 1 year, with at least 1 year remaining.
  • Proof of employment or financial resources: Pay stubs, bank statements, or equivalent documentation.
  • Spanish private health insurance: Guidance provided to obtain coverage.
  • Proof of family ties: Marriage/civil union certificate, birth certificate, or legal guardianship documents.
  • Required documentation: Completed application form, valid passport, criminal record certificate, medical certificate, bank statements, and others.
